Pättkestour: The Crawley Friends at Sonnenhof. (created on 24.06.2023 by Dorstener Zeitung)

Last weekend, the Crawley Friends Circle embarked on an exciting Pättkestour that started at the railway station to the Sonnenhof and ended with a cozy dinner. The participants gathered at the Dorsten train station, filled with anticipation for the upcoming adventure. Dieter took on the role of leading the way, ensuring that the group stayed on the right path. Peter was appointed as the "lump collector" and had the important task of making sure no one got left behind. The tour followed the picturesque train tracks, passed through the Schölzbach, and took the Reepler Weg into the Schwarze Heide. Equipped with modern e-bikes, all participants were able to fully enjoy the hilly landscape. The only exception was Peter, who had chosen a regular bicycle without a motor and had to exert extra effort to keep up. Unfortunately, Peter unknowingly lost track of the group after pushing himself to catch up. When the group finally arrived at the Sonnenhof for a coffee and cake break, Peter was nowhere to be found. As a playful punishment for his lagging behind, he was placed on a Bobbycar for a group photo, humorously highlighting his lack of speed. The return journey took the participants along the most beautiful paths through the idyllic countryside, leading them to Georg's Wachholderhäuschen. This time, Peter rode at the front of the group, under special observation. With the sun shining brightly and the weather at its best, delicious salads awaited the participants, and the grill was already fired up. The evening was filled with good food, cold drinks, and lively conversations. The Pättkestour 2023 was a complete success, setting the tone for the upcoming visit of the English guests in July. The Crawley Friends Circle can look forward to more shared activities and the opportunity to forge new friendships.
